Gina Akpe-Moses was born in Nigeria but moved to Dundalk (Ireland) when she was just three years of age and began running with St Gerald's Athletic Club from the age of eight. A prodigiously talent youth, Akpe -Moses won national club and schools level, as well as silver at the European Youth Championship in both the 100 metres & 200 metres.

In 2014, her family moved to Birmingham and Akpe Moses has been running out of one of the UK's top Clubs, Birchfield Harriers. In 2017 Akpe-Moses was crowned European U20 Championships representing Ireland in the 100 metres in Grosseto Italy. She is now the best women's under 20 sprinter in Europe, still only 19. In other ways her journey is only getting going - and its a journey she intends on fast-tracking to Tokyo, which are now two years away.
